Well of Eternity Part 1 - What Happens
Well of Eternity
The cataclysmic Battle of the Mount Hyjal, of months ago, saw the demonic Burning Legion forever banished from Azeroth. However, not there is a mysterious energy rift occurring in the Kalimdor Mountains, and it has propelled three former warriors back in time to the past.
The warriors find themselves in a time long before humans, orcs, or high elves roamed the land. They find themselves back in a time when the Dark Titan Sargeras along with his demon pawns have convinced Queen Azshara and the Highborne of Queen Azshara to cleanse Azeroth of all the races considered lesser. This is a time when the Dragon Aspects are as powerful as they will ever be, with no knowledge that one of their own would shortly be responsible for an age of darkness engulfing the World of Warcraft.
The story begins with the heroic trilogy – the historic War of the Ancients outcome has been forever changed as a result of the the time lost heroes arriving. The human wizard Rhonin who finds himself dividing his thoughts between the seductive source of his growing power and his family; The dragon mage Krasus who has great power and many memories of the diminished ancient conflicts, and the tough orc veteran Broxigar who wants for a magnificent death during battle.
The burning Legion’s gateway opens anew into Azeroth and it’s likely past struggles are going to find their way into the present.
There are actually two Wells of Eternity. The First Well of Eternity is a swirling, glowing pool that was a lake in the past holding an incredible amount of arcane energy. Originally it was found on the on the primeval continent of Kalimdor located near Zin-Azshari an ancient elven city. The area where the well once was is now where the Great Sundering and the Maelstrom are located.
The Second Well of Eternity is a huge pool of water that has been infused with raw magical power of the World Tree base. It is coveted by warlocks, demons, and mages, and it is an excellent source of arcane magic.
The World Tree powers have stopped the corrupt nature this magic a problem dating back centuries. Should the World Tree ever become destroyed the Well of Eternity would become the source of immeasurable power for the evil creatures to wield.
Kalimidor is a continent that is surrounded by the sea and home to several disparate creatures and races, all trying to survive amongst the waking world’s savages. Here is where a mysterious lake of luminous energies can be found. Now known as the Well of Eternity. It was here you would find the beat of the world’s magic and all that natural power. The infinite Great Dark Beyond was the source of its energy.
The silithin was born from this magical ether. Illidan holds many magical vials from the first Well of Eternity and three of those vials he has poured into the lake at the very top of Mount Hyjal, thereby creating a new well. Because of his insane act Cenarius and Malfurion imprison him far beneath the mountain.
Illidan still has vials in his possession …. What will be the outcome and what will happen to these vials… you’ll have to read the story yourself to find the answers to these questions.
